Comments:

Hi. Sure had a great time over the weekend.
A special welcome to Svein LA3BO wich joined in for the first time in the LN3Z
Vestfold Contest Club. Great contribution to our club – and well done Svein.
Condx picking up on most bands, but 10/15m barely any dx. 20m open to NA most
of the time, 40/80m pretty good and little activity on 160m. Typical summer
condx.

Last years disasterous UBN made our last years final score behind LN8W`s LA M/S
record with some 20k pts. Now this year we are pretty confident the record
belong to LN3Z, claiming 1,4 mill pts over. Mission accomplished.

Comments:

Great lowband condx, and for a change not to much bothered by aurora either. Some super Murphy problems during the contest, but wont complain over this…but it took us out of the contest a few hours. If lowband was good, high bands were terrible. Did not work a single qso on 10m, and this is the first time we manage not to…

Managed to work a few big guns in NA on 15m, but band never gave respond to our cq calls. Lots of fun, and lowband really took off this weekend.

Comments:

Heavy storm passed over southern Norway saturday evening, forced us to take a few hours off air. All antennas survived, but needed to do fix one of the support lines on the Titanex vertical on sunday morning. Last time we EVER gonna do low band cqww without beverages antennas – boy it was hard to pull out anything on 160/80 meter. Sorry to all we could not pull through. These antennas will be qrv for the cw contest.

We knew 40m was our poorest band. Had a decent run on NA sunday morning QSX, but it never really took off. OUr brand new full size 40m yagi is on the ground yet, but for next season it`s gonna be another story. Crowded 20m
but lot of fun there. 15m very good for picking multipliers, but never gave anything for run here. 10m band almost completely dead, even though we spent of time monitoring for multipliers and even tried a few 10 minute with run
station.

Well – thanks to everybody and cu in the cw contest in a few weeks.

Comments:

Had a great time, and for a while we thought we could claim new national record, but openings on 15/10 meter never really gave us the chance finding the hard needed multipliers for a record. Managed to stay close to the top OH stations until about 0000 Z, but then we lost condx on 40 m, leaving us behind.

Could need our 3 ele full size 40 m yagi this weekend, but hope to get things ready for the CQWW contests. The beverages are not ready on low band yet, so sorry for all the weaker calling on 80 m that we could not pull through.

Thanks for all the Q’s – cya.
